8/3/12 Daily Tip: Push Through The Plateaus

Don’t rush it. Humans are constantly in a race. It feels natural to want immediate results or to push too hard in the beginning of something new. It is important to allow for process. Too allow for your body to naturally accept the changes you are placing upon it. Plateaus are common too. They are reasons people quit and give up. However, plateaus are normal. Your body will cycle in and out of plateaus. Embrace each plateau as a challenge. When you feel stuck or when you feel like you have taken a step in the wrong direction, don’t give up. Following a every plateau is a new break through. The three steps backward will suddenly feel like 6 steps forward. I experience plateaus in all aspects of my life. The key is not to seek perfection but rather progress in meaning. Allow yourself room for mistakes and challenge your reality by experiencing your life outside your “box”. Be patient, results will be significant at times, and barely visible others. This is how you live a “lifestyle”.
