8/13/12 Daily Tip: Self Soothing With Food

Emotional eaters and compulsive eaters tend to turn to food to self-soothe. Self-soothing has to do with comforting and loving yourself. Most people I run across tend to reward themselves with food or self-soothe with a sugary sweet. Using food as a reward or distraction can only lead to one thing, food addiction, overeating, compulsive eating and emotional eating. Food has a purpose which is to fuel and nurish our bodies to help keep them healthy, strong, and reliable. What is your purpose?
