Food obsessions gives you the illusion of being vulnerable without being vulnerable at all. They create a sense of madness on the outside which calms the madness inside. Obsessions whether it is food, work, exercise, alcohol, allows us an escape route from life. They protect us from the pain and struggles that are real and waiting for you to confront and embrace. The truth is, your pain and struggle are behind you, with you and in front of you. Holding on to your obsession only gives you the illusion of controlling it. Allow yourself to be awake in your life without the numbing affect of food. Feel your life, let go of the obsession today.
