				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Going out to dinner is possibly one of my most favorite pastimes.  However, studies show that people who cook at home tend to be less over weight and less likely to struggle with weight issues.  As much as I would like to say I cook at home, I do tend to eat out often.   Although my restuarant choices are always the &#8220;healthy ones&#8221;, I am still aware of the hidden fat and calories in all restuarant cooking.   My compromise, I order either the lunch portion or appetizer portion for my entree and never take home the leftovers.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Feeling anxious or irritable?  Breathe.  It can really be that simple.  I refer to this as my &#8220;brain&#8217;s benzo&#8221;.     The biggest challenge will be taking that deep, all the way to bottom of the belly, breath.  Most people breathe into their chests and release half the air before taking their next breath.   How does this work?  The inhale activates our sympathetic nervous system &#8230;(fight or flight response), while the exhale activates our parasympathetic nervous system (rest/calm brain).   It is important however, that you breathe deep into the diaphram of your lower belly and that you release all of the stale carbon dioxide from your lungs before your next inhalation.  It is also found that this type of breathing not only brings you into a peaceful place but that it also allows for you to bring in more oxygen on the inhalation which seems to neurtralize the body promoting the growth of healthy skin cells.   Peace and Pretty -another natural choice.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Finding your power comes from deep inside.  It lives inside your truth or authentic self.  Our power often gets lost or swallowed up by our ego.  Our egos take over as it feeds on power, mastery, and control over others and things.  When we choose to take transformative action, our ego, which seeks control over our body, circumstance, and the people around us, will resist the n&#8230;eed to surrender to your power.   Connecting to your power means letting go, accepting, giving up control on certain levels.  I know I am working from power when I am open, honest, and vulnerable.  I experience an unstoppable energy that feeds my spiritual growth.  When I resist it, I experience an impasse.   So when you find yourself caught in a personal moment that feels like a setback or  blocked by immovable obstacles, sit quiet for a few minutes, breathe and listen for your power.  Learn how to recognize the difference between your ego and your power.  Remember to breathe, your breath is your bridge from head to your body.</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Start the day off with a bang &#8211; choose protein.  When I begin my day with a high protein breakfast, it keeps me satisfied for hours.  I tend to eat less carbs because I do not crave them.  Protein just doesn&#8217;t curb my appeptite but it also decreases my cravings for high carb foods, like breads and cereals for the entire day.   This only works for me if I make protein the basis of my first meal.</p>
